This visa category is suitable for foreigners married to Thai nationals who wish to live together in Thailand, applicable for marriages registered in Thailand or abroad, with a required Kor.22 registration in Thailand. This visa allows for a 1-year stay in Thailand, renewable. For those seeking to apply for a visa to accompany or care for Thai children (Guardian Visa), entry into Thailand must first be on another type of visa, such as a Tourist Visa, before applying for the Guardian Visa. Additionally, holders of marriage and child accompanying visas are allowed to work in Thailand, provided they apply for a Work Permit. In the event of a divorce, the validity of your Marriage Visa will be revoked, and you must leave the country immediately.
Documents required for the Non-O Visa for the purpose of marrying
a Thai national, accompanying a Thai wife, husband, or child
- TM.7 form
- Original passport : and copies of every page with stamps, signed as certified true copies
- Three 2-inch (4x6 cm) photos : with a white background, facing forward
- A copy of the Thai spouse's house registration : signed as a true copy
- A copy of the Thai spouse's ID card : signed as a true copy
- A copy of the marriage certificate : and a copy of the marriage registration, both signed as true copies
- A copy of the child's birth : certificate for each child (if any)
- A copy of the house registration : for each child (if any)
- Original bank book for an account opened in Thailand : bank certification, and copies of the bank book's first page, signed as true copies, showing a balance of 400,000 baht for the last 2 months, updated to the most recent date before applying for the visa
- Ten family photos : color copies on A4 paper, 2 photos per page (no black and white)
- TM.30 : notification of residence form
- Application fee : of 2,000 baht

Guidelines for holders of Thai-Foreign Marriage Visas, Spouse Visas,
Visas for accompanying a Thai wife, husband, or child in 2024
- Visa renewal applications : must be submitted at least 21 days before the expiration date
- If holding a visa for more than 1 year : report to the Immigration Bureau every 90 days according to the residence address.
- The 90-day report : can be made 14 days in advance or up to 7 days late from the scheduled date.
- Failing to report within 90 days : requires a personal appearance and a fine of 2,000 baht, or 4,000 baht if detained.
- Upon re-entering the country : the 90-day count restarts from the first day of entry.
- For Single Entry visa holders : who wish to exit and re-enter, a Re-Entry Permit must be obtained before leaving, from the nearest Immigration Bureau or the airport to be used for travel.
